17 comments:

  1. 1. I rate myself an 8.

    2. I managed to command the defense well and they worked very effectively.

    3. I think I did well in pumping the ball up today as I could kick the ball from my end of the field, to the other end. Turning the opponent's attack into defense.

    4. I think that now that we've shown our defense is capable of holding off the opponent, we just need to improve on our attack.

    5. I learnt that after playing with Chestnut Drive for 3 times, they have understood my weaknesses and try to exploit it. Thus I need to find ways to overcome them.

    6. I think I can help the team to improve by doing some attacking drills after a drop kick.

    7. I think the team can do some aggressive position in order to position themselves for my dropkick and not stray in an offside position.

    8. I think the man of the match is Niklaus.

    9. I could hear him commanding the defense, often covering Jia Le as he goes for the opponent. He also positions the defense for an incoming corner. Furthermore, he is able to tell defenders that are out of position to mark their man without me telling them to.

  2. 1. I will rate myself 3.5.

    2. My passing was wayward and I often ran away from the ball, thus my overall play was horrendous. I also failed to use my head yet again.

    3. I touched the ball quite often today and I managed to make two runs down the left flank.

    4. I think I should improve on my ball control because I lost the ball cheaply after running about. I should also improve on my reaction, composure, passing, heading and making vital interceptions for the team.

    5. I learnt that I will affect the overall team performance if I am not alert, or if I am too selfish in keeping the ball.

    6. Instead of running up instantaneously when we have possession, I can actually linger around there first to get the ball, otherwise the ball will keep eluding me in a counter-attack.

    7. We can communicate and encourage each other when they are feeling down, or when they are not alert.

    8. The MOTM will be Mitchel.

    9. He was formidable when he was defending alongside Wei Hong, making some vital blocks to deny the opposition any clear cut chances. He constantly ran around to hassle the attacking players, and he was always determined to win the ball for the team.

    2. I came back a less than a week after staying in the hospital, 3 days ago, i had gastric pain. But i went on the match, played the full game and when i wasn't around the score was 6-0 when i was it was 1-0. Thus, this proves, that i am important as without me we will lose one person in attack.

    3. I block Chestnut from scoring a second goal but i mis-predicted the flight of the ball and instead of a volley, it hit my *ahem. And also, my knee was bleeding and it was painful, but i didn't give up.

    4. My heading, i don't know why, but after the Kranji match, i felt that i was somehow more scared of the ball.

    5. Communication and perseverance is KEY

6.Head more, try to support when the team is attacking. I didn't do much supporting just now, as i know my speed will not be as good as previous matches as i have just recovered.

    7. Practise power? Very little people of the team can clear a ball properly

    8. Mostly everyone

    9. they transformed the score from the previous first half from 6-0 into 1-0. And this is the first time we did not let in anymore goals after a goal in the first half.

  4. 1.erm i rate my self 3
    2.nvr did play
3.I think i did help the team remind themselves of their need to dos
4.I think that the stamina should be improved
5.The lesson learnt here is that physical fitness is important
6.I think we all can excercise more to increase physical fitness
7.They can have more movement as there are some walking
    8.THe MOTM is Nikaulas
9.He commited himself fully to the game and had to resort to tripping over a player's foot to stop the ball and perform a flying slide tackle

  5. 1) I would rate myself 6.3.

    2) I've let outside affairs interfere with my performance today and thus did not kept my focus. I had quite a few lacklusture clearances in the first half but did much better in the second.

    3) I managed to supply 2 through balls to Matthias and he almost converted one in the first half. I also dribbled past 4 Chestnut Drive players and passed to Matthias.

    4) We should improve on our wingers and train them to support the striker. We need to work on our positioning too.

    5) It is possible to apply what you learn in training if you stay calm and focused in the game.

    6) We can have something like CST. Since most of us hav the basics right, it is time we have personal training according to our different positions, skills standard etc.

    7) Learn how to play attacking football AFTER we've settled down our traits in defence.

    8) Sean. He never gave up and supplied the attack with lots of drop kicks.

    2. I find that I have done relatively well as a defender, though I do feel that I have to settle the indecisiveness on my part.

    3. I think I have communicated well with the team, constantly providing morale support and also giving certain instructions. Also, after being beaten, I feel that I do run back and keep pressure on the strikers.

    4. I feel that I should learn to be more decisive and go in for the tackle without hesitation. Many times, my defensive stance was poor and have allowed the wingers to dribble past me.

    5. I have learnt that we are capable of anything as long as we have the heart to play and the morale to go on. This has been proven as we turned a 6-0 defeat at half-time to only a 1-0 defeat at full-time. To me, that is a great achievement, but the lesson here is that morale and heart are important to the team's performance.

    6. I can help by learning to adapt to all kinds of positions. This way, if anyone is injured, at least I can help by being able to play in their position. However, I must also at least be able to accomplish that position's role, or else I wouldn't be able to help much.

    7. We should start by making sure our defense is strong enough to hold all almost all sorts of attack. After that, we will have to start to learn to play a passing game and keep possession.

    8. I can see that everyone has done well and given their all, but my MOTM would be Elgin Patt.

    9. He has made the opponents winger's job a tough one and made my job slightly easier as well. We communicated well and he was one who was constantly reminding me of opponent players unmarked, one that Niklaus also does. After he's been beaten at the flanks, I notice that he always moves behind me to cover me and we make a temporary switch of positions. This is the kind of partnership I'm looking for between the CBs and WBs.

I wasnt accustomed to playing right midfield but
elgin patt reminded and encouraged me along the whole way
    3. What did you think you do well today?

    Stopping a few corners

    4. What do you think should be improved?

I should stay at my position

    5. What lesson did you learn today?

    encouraging is important

6.How can you help the team to improve?

Encouraging each other and doing my best

    7. What do you think the team can do as a team to improve?

The team should communicated even more

    8. Who do you think is the man of the match today?

    Everyone who played

They did their best and defended the goal for the whole match.

  10. 1. 7

    2. I felt that the 15 minutes that were given to me was quite frustrating, as the balls supplied to me were either just wide, or there was not enough support when I got the ball. However, I encouraged the team throughout the whole 15 mins, and I tried to hurried the time by asking the opponent to hurry up and demanding them to place the ball down during the last goal kick.

    3. I've stayed in position, and I told the team the change of formation and although they do not really understand it. I've also made a couple of descisions on my own, like asking everyone to push up, althugh coach did not ask me too, but I felt that some descisions has to be made from the heart, and not the brain, so I took a gamble and asked 2 defenders to push up, leaving on two REAL defenders.

    4. I need to make sure that the team understand and react to what I say fast, like pushing up. If we push higher and faster, we would not have lost. (I think)

    5. I've learnt how to play in my position and calculate when I should fall and when I should stay upfront despite coach asking me to stay upfront.
From the bench, I also realise how constant and loud encouragement and cheers can make a team work and play harder and better.

    6. Like I've said, I need to make sure that everyone hears my commands and make sure they react fast enough.

    7. In this game, I've got to admit that we were the better side, we created the better chances and we play better football. We do not deserve to lose. But we need to work on support plays as there was nearly 5 times that the ball was passed to me and then no one was there to support me. We also need to tell each other when is the right time to pass, shoot and cross. We also need to work on dribbling, so we do not have to overrely on one person, and thus we also need to improve on our finishing, as there were many chances that we could have scored but we passed to Matthias instead for him to score as he is the main striker.

    8. The man of the match is THE BENCH (+everyone)

    9. The bench was the most active evar in this 14 matches, and we were constantly cheering even though we were 1 goal down, as we believe that we can snatch a win. The bench was also very encouraging and I believe this is the first time that we still had our heads held high despite losing.

We really do not deserve to lose.

    3. More effort put into the game

    4. Better reaction and gameplay reading

    7. More communication, do not under-estimate the opponents and encourage!

    8. Everyone

    9. Everyone really improve not implying on the gameplay but the effort to encourage each other, that's what a true team would do.

  14. 1-4 (NA) Because I never touch the ball at all, and thus cannot have a fair projection or judgement.
    5. I learn that I have to run for the ball if I want it.
    6. I can help improve my stamina (as proven in today's heats, my stamina is awfully terrible), I can defend more, encourage more, and defend more (main role).
    7. The team can also increase their overall stamina, as I notice most people do not have alot of stamina to last for the whole match, (people like Elgin Patt, Kierren, Bernard, etc. )
    8. MOTM is Elgin Patt.
9 I will have to applaud that he communicates well for the team, encourages alot, and defends the best during that match.
