  1. 1. I would rate myself a 8.

    2. I've done well in the game as a CB, working well with my other defenders to prevent quite some potential goals. I also feel that I've made some good decisions during the match.

    3. I've communicated well with the others, and pointed out players out of position. I've also linked up well with ODS and have managed to prevent some crosses, though not all.

    4. Yes, when I've received the ball in the defensive third, I take my time with the ball and spread it out wide down the flanks instead of panic and randomly clear the ball.

    5. We should improve on our possession and our one-on-one play. Often, we are confident with the ball, but are unable to beat the player due to lack of speed, skill etc.

    6. We always stand a chance in every game, but we always sit back and let our opponents constantly attack. When that happens, eventually a goal will be scored. We have the ability to score goals, but we must push forward more and take whatever chances we have.

    7. We never gave up even after conceding goals but instead performed better and also threatened our opposition with many pot shots from outside the box.

    8. I can help by making sure that we go into the game brimming with confidence, and make sure that the defense pushes up more often, and that we take our chances whenever it shows itself.

    9. We should improve on our movement as a team. Often when we attack and lose the ball, there is a big gap between the defenders and the midfielders, and that space allows our opponents to pile players and stage a strong counter attack.

    10. I find that everyone did well in the game, everyone gave their all and did their best, but one player I would like to commend is Elgin Patt.

    11. Even when he had stomach ache since I think 10mins into the game and was struggling with that, he never gave up and I could tell he was pushing himself to give his best. Even though he made some mistakes, he didn't feel demoralized and also communicated well with the team.

    Darius Low,
    Captain

    2. Explain your rating
I wasn't at my best and was constantly too close to the attackers and let too many people by-pass me.
    3. What did you think you do well today?
I always ran after the ball when I lose possesion.
    4. Do you think you have applied what you have learned in training?
Yes. I opened up during throw-ins
    5. What do you think should be improved?
    Midfield.
    6. What lesson did you learn today?
We can actually attack and pressure the opponent.
    7. Do you think the team did well today?
    Yes.
    8. How can you help the team to improve?
Stop all crosses and pump the ball to attack.
    9. What do you think the team can do as a team to improve?
Pressure the opponents more and not be the ones getting pressured.
    10. Who do you think is the man of the match today?
    Matthias
    11. Explain your answer in 10
He was constantly receiving passes and constantly pressuring the opponents. He was quick and fast, on his toes. That match, he was on top form.

    7.

    2. Explain your rating
i think i played generally well, and since i just came back from an injury, it was amazing that i could last for the full match. I didn't really make any major mistakes, just some minor mistakes which could be prevented easily.

    3. What did you think you do well today?
Well, i feel that in this mach, when we had chance to attack, i manage to assist the attack in the left flank quite a number of times.

    4. Do you think you have applied what you have learned in training?
In training, we have been practising the 5-4-1 formation, but since we were using 4-1-4-1, it was harder to adapt. However, i managed to put into play some overlaping movement and of course, the basic, passing.

    5. What do you think should be improved?
Lasting for the full match defending is different from lasting for the full match attacking and defending at the same time. At times, when we had a chance to counter attack, we didn't make use of the opportunity because we were lacking the fitness required to convert the defense into attack in a split second.

    6. What lesson did you learn today?
Stop all crosses, and stopping all shots is essential. It's difficult, but possible.

    7. Do you think the team did well today?
No, Not at all, personally, i felt that we could actually have won against NUS High if we had put in all our effort and make use of opportunities, however, again and again, our fitness has let us down.

    8. How can you help the team to improve?
Motivating each other. When the going gets tough, it's when we all need to take the initiative and encourage each other, and motivate each other.

    9. What do you think the team can do as a team to improve?
Like what i have suggest before, it'll be good if the team can come together, once a week or once every two weeks to go for a run. Without fitness, we will never be able to play.

    10. Who do you think is the man of the match today?
I don't feel that anyone is worth enough to take this position

    11. Explain your answer in 10
Everyone was tired, everyone wasn't playing their best, but one thing for sure, you could that most of us, did our best of our ability on that day.

  4. 1. Rate your performance today from 1 to 10
    I would rate it 6/10.

    2. Explain your rating
I had played better than I did in the previous match and tried to give my best to try and pressure the opponents' defenders (alongside with Matthias and ODS, and eventually Wen Kai).

    3. What did you think you do well today?
I tried running into space and adapting to my position as a striker after going in during the second half. This was done by calling to support others.

    4. Do you think you have applied what you have learned in training?
Honestly, I would feel that only a rather small percentage of what I have learnt has been applied. Examples of things I think I have applied are: pulling the opponents away during goal kicks and pushing them to the side as well as compressing inwards once the possession has been stolen; Examples of things I think I have NOT applied are: Defending techniques (including man-marking) and really going in HARD for the ball.

    5. What do you think should be improved?
I should improve on control since at the moment, I am playing for forward position (For this match in particular, I remembered losing possession of the ball after getting it near the corner). I should also improve on my crossing/shooting technique. And lastly, I would also not like to train up on other areas such as defending and even the basic throw-in. Of course, I believe that this needs practice as a team and encouragement from one another in order for this to be achieved.

    6. What lesson did you learn today?
In no matter what situation in the game, team players should always keep their spirits up, never being over-complacent nor under-confident at all times of the match. For example, during the first half of the match, a goal was accidentally given at the start. Opponent players were made to look good and yet the best players of the team have been observed to be not at their best, as even claimed by themselves. What could have been done instead is to keep the mentality strong and play on as normal – there could have been chances of winning.

    7. Do you think the team did well today?
For the first half, I would not say so, but for the second half, there was improvement and team players were playing well.

    8. How can you help the team to improve?
I can help the team improve by first helping myself. Improvements and 'lessons' I have discovered on my own can then be shared to help the team improve together (Some players sometimes tend to push the blame to others without realising that they are not helping).

    9. What do you think the team can do as a team to improve?
The team should first maintain good relationships as a whole before comparing to others. All team members should work together, with equal trust and no one left out. Those who are strong should help the weaker ones by providing them ways to improve instead of telling them problems they have. To really improve 'as a team', a team player must not focus only on improving oneself (which sometimes happen when we all only practice individually)

    10. Who do you think is the man of the match today?
The majority of everyone cannot be a 'man of the match' in the first half, though they can be 'men of the match' in the second half.

    11. Explain your answer in 10
As mentioned, the first half was very slow-paced. GENERALLY, no one was playing at their full best in the first half. However, during the second half, everyone was more pumped up to play. Defenders like Elgin Patt and Bryan were working rather well with the forwards and most of us even managed to move into the attacking half. Opponent players can be seen to be pulled down by quite a LOT due to the numerous number of attacking chances we gained for ourselves towards the end of the game. Mitchel even managed to take a shot and this I feel was a very good achievement for the team.

  5. 1-4. NA (spectator)
    5. Offensive line has to be improved. There were many times where the ball got to the front, but there was no one to receive the ball, so the ball would always end up back at our side. Also, few shots were taken, and the opponents defensive line is weak, which could have been exploited with potshots (similar to what Nan Hua did).
    6. A quote from Nike: Just do it. Paralysis by analysis is a bad thing to do.
    7. No. The team did not do well today.
    8. Morale has to be built up. However, morale includes encouragement and NOT suggesting the chance to win. I notice that when it is said that certain schools are tough, SST will tend to play harder. However, when we say that we MAY win, people start to relax.
    9. The team has to communicate.
10-11. Not sure. I have forgotten, and do not want to give a random answer.

  7. 1) I would rate myself 4.3 for first half and 6.3 for second.

    2) I got a stitch in the first half. Hence my performance/fitness dropped significantly; couldn't control well, decide fast and gave the ball away on many occasions. In the second half, I managed to pull myself together and work towards my potential.

    3) I was able to create multiple chances by opening up the defence with through passes and had a few shots on goal.

    4) I did well in some areas such as not over-running and getting tired so easily. Other than that I felt that I was doing what I was supposed to do.

    5) Support play. Many of times when we get the ball, 3/4 of the team are WALKING. Not in the opponent's half, but in defence. We need to attack as a team and defend as one. One player is not going to spring a miracle by himself upfront.

    6) Not to drink so much water before the match. Just kidding. We have to prevent our opponents from hogging possession. Because if they do, we will be under pressure and they would launch attacks at as, endangering our goal.

    7) This was one of the better matches when we had a few glimpse of the goal.

    8) Encourage others to do their job well and help the team achieve a common goal.

    9) We need to work on our fitness. Also, many of us are not applying what we learn during training; control, approaching the ball and support play. We should not be scared of the ball too.

    10) Mitchel Goh.

    11) He was a powerhouse in midfield and constantly putting his leg into challenges with high fitness levels.

    5

    2. Explain your rating
I think that I played under average as I definitely could have saved the goal that I conceded and played much better.

    3. What did you think you do well today?
I think I did well by helping to play the ball to the sides in order to stretch the opponent's defence.

    4. Do you think you have applied what you have learned in training?
I think that I did not really apply what I have learned in training.

    5. What do you think should be improved?
I think the team should learn how to pass more and play down the wings so as to stretch and push the opponents back into their own half.

    6. What lesson did you learn today?
I learnt that the opponent has to be closed down very quickly and not be given any space at all to cross or shoot.

    7. Do you think the team did well today?
No. I feel that we let in 'fluke' goals which could have definitely been prevented if we hadn't let the opponents pressure us too much and push deep into our half.

    8. How can you help the team to improve?
I think I can help the team by communicating to my defence on the threats of the opponents and getting defenders to be aware of them so that they can be marked and closed down.

    9. What do you think the team can do as a team to improve?
I think that the team can have some team bonding activities to improve the chemistry of our team as teamwork and trust is key when we're playing.

    10. Who do you think is the man of the match today?
I don't think that any particular player stood out in the match as everyone played equally well.

    11. Explain your answer in 10
Everyone wasn't playing their best in the 1st half and only during the 2nd half did everyone put in the effort to play their hearts out and put in their best.

    2. Explain your rating
Due to me being me, I got a stomacheache around the first 10 mins of the match. Because of that, I did not close down the opponent players fast enough and therefore they were able to apply pressure on our defence, and we conceded 3.

    3. What did you think you do well today?
I tried my best to push myself. Thats pretty much all :/

    4. Do you think you have applied what you have learned in training?
In traning, we were taught how to close down players, due to my new position, I was not able to close them down and push them to the sides.

    5. What do you think should be improved?
For me, I need to learn to adapt to situations and help the mid more when they are pushing up. My fitness level also could be improved and I could last longer during matches.

    6. What lesson did you learn today?
Fitness is VERY VERY VERY important. Liek siriusly

    7. Do you think the team did well today?
Well, we worked together as a team, thats one.

    8. How can you help the team to improve?
I need to call for cover more and push back to the defense more often while one of the defenders are out pressuring.

    9. What do you think the team can do as a team to improve?
We have to get to know each other more, so we can cover effectively.

    10. Who do you think is the man of the match today?
    Nope.

    11. Explain your answer in 10

During defnce, there were some loop holes that i did not cover that caused the goals to be scored
    3. What did you think you do well today?
In trying to stop all the attackers
    4. Do you think you have applied what you have learned in training?
    I have in the corners
    5. What do you think should be improved?
Definitely the stamina to keep on running in the game
    6. What lesson did you learn today?
I learnt with everybody consistantly running, we can do our parts to stop the other team from attacking
    7. Do you think the team did well today?
in the second half we definitely did well, much better than the first half
    8. How can you help the team to improve?
I can help by communicating and telling them what they should do
    9. What do you think the team can do as a team to improve?
The team can definitely do better in the defending part
    10. Who do you think is the man of the match today?
I wouldnt say there is one
    11. Explain your answer in 10
We all did equally well to help out with the match

I would rate myself 4 for this match as a goalkeeper and a 8 for an outfield player.

    2. Explain your rating
I spilled a ball and failed to dive back down to get the ball even though there was plenty of time as the pitch slowed the ball down.

    3. What did you think you do well today?
I managed to finish most of the match despite spraining my wrist twice. I also tried to regain my confidence after spilling the ball and tried to shout instructions more that usual to my teammates.

    4. Do you think you have applied what you have learned in training?
For me personally I think I have applied everything I learn in training even though I did not went for goalkeeper training specifically. I tried to run into space, call for the ball and instruct my teammates when there are loopholes in the defense and such.

    5. What do you think should be improved?
I think I should have concentrated more and be more firm and confident when I receive the ball or when the opponent shot. I also should have more composure because for nobody went up to pressure me when somebody got the ball so I think I should have used this to my advantage and take more shots from distance because like what I said, no one seems to be pressing me when I get the ball.

    6. What lesson did you learn today?
I learn that I should be more confident and firm and have a better composure and lapses of concentration to ensure that I play to be best of abilities and help the team overall with my whole hearted performance.

    7. Do you think the team did well today?
To say the truth everyone was disappointed when I spilled the ball, like all the other matches when we concede a goal. After the match everybody had their head hung low and not playing like they were told so overall we played terribly after the first goal. However, towards the ending of the game we did play well even though Mitchel missed something I probably wouldn't have missed by shooting over the bar when he is so close to goal.

    8. How can you help the team to improve?
I should have concentrate more and be more confident like what I mention above.

    9. What do you think the team can do as a team to improve?
We should have composure and actually pass to our teammates and move into space. Most of the times like all other matches we're just standing there walking when other players are struggling to get control of the ball like we're taking a stroll in the park.

    10. Who do you think is the man of the match today?
    Nobody.

    11. Explain your answer in 10
We did play well in the last few minutes, but we wasted too many chances by either not passing or shooting when the defenders are clearly tired, so yea no individual should be responsible hence no one is the man of the match.

    2. Explain your rating.
I did not play in that match, but I thought I contributed a wee bit by being present and supporting the team on the sidelines.

    3. What did you think you do well today?
Not applicable, I was supporting the team from the sidelines and was not playing during the match.

    4. Do you think you have applied what you have learned in training?
    Not applicable.

    5. What do you think should be improved?
I think that we should have closed down the opponents quicker and attack the ball rather than waiting for it to come to us. This is so as there are some instances when the opponents seemed ineffective on the ball when they were closed down quickly.

    6. What lesson did you learn today?
It is important to close down opponents quickly and attack the ball. Also, we should not underestimate our opponents, even if they are seemingly on par with us.

    7. Do you think the team did well today?
We were average in the first half, but we improved significantly in the second half and caused a lot of problems for our opponents.

    8. How can you help the team to improve?
I can practice and train harder, so that I will be ready when called upon.

    9. What do you think the team can do as a team to improve?
We can practice our pressing, passing and control as a team, so that we can improve on our basic defending and attacking.

    10. Who do you think is the man of the match today?
    I don't think I can remember.

    11. Explain your answer in 10.
It is difficult to remember/determine who is the man of the match as everyone played quite well in the second half.

    9. The team should attack as one, defend as one, be more compact.
    10. Not that I noticed
    11. The some players are not unleashing their full potential during the game and the goals that we conceded were solely due to the mistakes we made. The result of the match was disappointing despite me having high hopes for the team to at least have a draw, considering the level of difficulty of the opponent. I do hope that the team can improve from this match and do better next time.

    5. What do you think should be improved?
We should learn on how to close up on the opponent when we are in possession of the ball. We should also not be afraid of the ball and pressure our opponents more often. We should also stop waiting for the ball to come to us and run to it.
    6. What lesson did you learn today?
I learnt that today confidence is key, and we should not give up till the end of the game. We must also have a "never-say-die" attitude int he game.
    7. Do you think the team did well today?
I team once again did pretty well in the first half, although there were some minor setbacks. But in the second half we managed to pull through and gave it our best.
    8. How can you help the team to improve?
I think i must train up and mater the basic soccer skills, and also improve on my stamina to last the whole game.
    9. What do you think the team can do as a team to improve?
We should practice more one to one defending and attacking. We should also raise our stamina level. We should also remember to hold our position well and know when to run into open space to support teammates.
    10. Who do you think is the man of the match today?

    2. I think I have done well as a midfielder where I had to hold the ball more than a defender and try to open up the attack.
    3. I manage to get the ball near their goal many times and despite losing possesion, I dropped back quickly to help defend.
    4. Yes as I shielded the ball multiple times and managed to dribble through some of them.
    5. We should encourage each other during the match instead of tearing each other down. This boost our morale and we play better
    6. That encouraging one another helps in our mentality
    7. The team did not function as well as I had hope. Attackers could have dropped back faster, people could have help and not just eye power. Defenders covering also has to be worked on. The player with the ball should not be given space to shoot.
    8. Shout out instructions or encouragements. Help some players toughen up.
    9. We should be clear of what positions we are playing and not be out of position.
    10. People who played hard and improved from the last match
    11. This shows that they are reflecting and trying to improve themselves. They have also played well during the match
