    6. Although i had passes and controlled and approacher the ball like coach asked us to, i did not watch the offside line as the attackers were making the pass. I could have improved on my shots as i did not have.
    2. The midfielders are very important and they need to give the right ball for the strikers to make the attack and the strikers have to have great control and vision of where the ball is going to go.
    3. Do you think the team did well today?
Yes. They communicated much more especially the defense.
    4. How can you help the team to improve?
The team can improve my increasing the CONTROL on the ball. It cannot be stressed and it is very important as if the ball is even 1.5m away from you, the faster defenders are going to take them very easily.
    5. What do you think the team can do together to improve?
CONTROL AND COMMUNICATION. We need a good control and good communication for a team to function and without that, we are just a bunch of solo people running around with the ball
    6. Who do you think is the man of the match today and justify your selection
ODS. He worked really hard at the flank during attacks and try to help and support the winger while doing his job as a defender cutting off many people when they are attacking. He is also not afraid of the ball and doesnt back off when the opponents shoot like some of our defenders/defensive midfields do.

    1. Hey JQ. To be an effective forward, there are two types. The traditional centre forward who is strong in the air & holds the ball up effectively while waiting for others to join in, or the speedy ones who plays off the shoulders of the last defender & sprints once the ball is played. You need to decide which type suits your strengths & polish it up, i.e. if you prefer running on to the ball, then your speed over 200 metres must radically improve. The other type, means you gotta have stronger upper body strength to shield the ball & very good control technique to hold it up. Good heading skills are crucial too.

  2. 1) 7. I feel I did rather well yesterday (according to time of posting of this comment) as I am more comfortable in playing as a defender. Even though I was placed into a rather 'alien' role, I was still able to perform with constant guiding from Niklaus and Darius in the defence. Also I feel that after some guiding I got comfortable with the role of a defending midfielder and could play better.
    2) I learned that as a team, we lack coordination as we do not communicate with each other effectively. One such instance was when Jay Que kept calling for the ball to break their offside trap, but neither Matthias nor Jia Le could get the pass through as they were being challenged. Neither Jia Le nor Matthias alerted Jay Que of their inability to pass and they lost the ball while attacking quite often due to this lack of coordination.
    3) I feel the team did rather well as there was a lot of communication, although not quite effective, which allowed us to move with a little more coordination than a few of our previous matches.
    4) I can help the team improve by training myself to get more comfortable and confident with dribbling the ball. I was not confident of dribbling during the game and when I had a good chance to bring the ball up to assist, I just freaked out and cleared the ball without looking.
    5) As I keep repeating over and over in each of my reflections, communication. Like I mentioned earlier in my reflection, the communication during the match slightly improved our coordination as a team.
6)I think Mitchell should be the MOTM. He was sure of his actions and never hesitated during a tackle. Whenever he failed a tackle, he would always go back to cover whoever was now tackling the opponent or tackle him again if no one had supported him. Apart from that, Mitchell also helped the attackers a lot even though he was a defending midfielder and attacking was a tertiary objective for him. And even then, while he supported the attack, if the attack failed and the opponents counter-attacked, he would immediately run back to support the defense unlike other players who just walked back.

    1. Good reflections Jovan! You'll be a valuable component as central defender or understudy to Mitchell. At this point, you need to get more comfortable attacking the ball & distributing it after winning it, rather than just hacking it away, or waiting for it to come to you. Lateral speed improvement as well, as you missed a few challenges by over-committing, instead of shadowing, cutting them off before moving in to take the ball away. keep up the good work Jovan. You'll Never Walk Alone!

  3. 7, I believe in this match, I had reflected on my mistakes made and had strive to not commit those mistakes or as much as possible reduce it.

With that goal in mind, I remembered about the fact that "Do not tackle, unless someone is covering" I prioritise defense ahead of offense. When I got the ball, I had to stay relaxed, look up to see whether anyone is open. Then and only then, I would decide to try to play a long ball over the defense for our strikers or wingers to latch onto it, or play a short pass instead to open up the play.
The only time which I would go up is when we have set pieces and trying to support the play. While we weren't so good in that area, I feel that pushing up to pressurise the opponent in their own half would actually give us a slight advantage.
Saying that, I admit that I have not done well in controlling high balls that come. While I attempt to approach the ball to get an advantage over the attacker, I would sometimes mis-time the timing which i go for the ball, and allowing the ball to bounce over me.

In the game, as a defender, when we do not have possession of the ball, you would realise that you would actually need all the help that you can get from your defensive midfielders and wide midfielders. While our defensive midfielders did a good job in their positioning today, I believe our midfielders can better aware of their positions. Seldom in a game will you ever see a left midfielder going all the way to the other flank where spectators who don't know the game plan would actually think you are playing on the right. While yes, I agree that when the ball is not on the left, you are supposed to compact and pressurise the defense. But in game, there are teams whose tactics is to crowd an area then switch flanks suddenly to catch their opponent off guard, thus my stand on always getting the wide midfielders to watch their positions.

While most of our team did well in terms of fitness (I wasn't even tired after the match), I believe our attacking play could be improved. When your teammates call for the ball, we have to trust them, we've played as a team for more than 2 years, yet I would see people not wanting to pass when there's a better option. As a defender, when you have won the ball, and you see your teammates lose the ball just because of a silly mistake, you would feel annoyed when this happens so many times. I wouldn't say that communication is the problem, because I have heard players asking for the ball, or asking their teammates to make the run, which I'm glad we have in the team as these are essential tools in the game of football.

While I believed everyone put in their best, I would actually like to commend the defensive midfielders and defenders for their organised defending. It doesn't matter how long you played, I could see them putting in effort, once beaten, never gave up. Communication was common and covering was good. We closed down attackers fast, and that may explain why the opponent did not manage to score.

    With that, good game :)

  4. 1. 6, I feel that I did not perform up to everyone's expectations as I had made some mistakes that we had clearly gone through during training, for example I had overcommitted myself too much at times, and if the other defenders had not have covered me the opponents may had have more chances to score. Also, I forgot about basic skills needed such as running towards the ball rather than waiting for it. However, I felt that I did manage to put some skills that I practiced in training into use during the match, such as closing down on the opponents in order to give them less time to react. I also managed to work well with the other defenders by covering them and moving into position.

    2. I learned that as a team we do not work very well with each other as the players of different positions in the team (eg. midfielders) do not always communicate very well with players of another position (eg. defenders) thus this can effect our co-ordination as we do not get into position and work well as a team.

3,4,5. Although the team did not played at a 100% efficiency, I think that the game played that day was much better than most games that we have played, as there was much more communication involved and thus there was much more teamwork in between the players and I feel that was one of the most important lessons of the match, which was the advantages of working as a team. However, we still have a long way to go before we can perform well, as we still need to train on our basic skill sets such as ball control and passing, and also our basic fitness level. I think that in future trainings and matches we must practice communication and teamwork more as a whole team in order to improve ourselves better, as without teamwork there would be no point playing the game as our teammates are all crucial to the success and failure of our group.

    6. I think that the MOTM was probably ODS, as he managed to guard the right defense very well. He always closed up the opponents very quickly so they did not have much time to react, and if he ever lost a challenge he would quickly rush back and try to win back the ball.

  5. i was a spectator so I can answer some questions.
    2. What did you learn as a player/spectator from the match today?
I learnt how to be resilient and continue playing despite fasting from the Yusof Ishak players as well as Adil. They all showed great commitment.
    3. Do you think the team did well today?
Yes we got a draw. The team had chances but still the defenders were solid and let not many through passes go through, easing the life of Sean.
    4. How can you help the team to improve?
They can really do some work on their flanking especially the Secondary 2s as they have a very big competition coming up.
    5. What do you think the team can do together to improve?
The team can have more teamwork.
    6. Who do you think is the man of the match today and justify your selection
Definitely it is Darius and Nikalus. They were the heart of the defence and cleared exceptionally well to launch counter-attacks. They also stopped through passes so as to keep the hope of drawing or even winning the game solid. They were not easily shook of as well.
    Keep up the good work!

  6. 2) As a spectator, I learnt that it is important to watch closely and learn both from the player's mistakes and
strengths. I also learnt that a player's touch on the ball is crucial when playing.
    3) I think the team did okay. I expected a win as the pitch was much smaller and some of the opposing players
were fasting and were even younger than our players. I think our team was too complacent during the match.
    4) I think I can help by helping some of the players improve their touch and passing.
    5) The team can improve on their touch and passing together.
    6) Nicklaus. He has stopped many of the opponent's dangerous players quickly and efficiently.

  7. I rate myself an 8 for the game as I feel that I've done much better compared to the game against the teachers. I was more composed and made better decisions during the game, and was always aware of my surroundings. I also feel that I did well one-on-one against the big striker, stopping his counter-attack thrice, though once was with the help of Nik and Bryan. I communicated well too, making sure ODS knew he was covered or that I was committing myself, and asked for cover. However, I feel that I could be more aggressive in my tackles, and be able to predict more accurately what the wingers/strikers are going to do. I am often easily beaten by their first touches. Also I have to be less hesitant. I have noticed that when the CDMs are beaten and the midfield is allowed to run at the defense, I find myself stoning at my position, waiting for the midfield to get to me instead of going to them and slowing them down.

As a team, we have to work on transition between attack and defense. When we counter-attack, many times the midfield rushes up, while us defenders basically stroll up to the halfway line. This will create a very big hole in midfield, which can create big problems when the opposition counter-attacks. We need to move as a team. Also our possession. Although it has improved, I believe that we can still do better. The passing performance is much better that those from national tournament, and I hope that we can replicate this more often.

Everyone has done well for the game, played with more passion and I can see major improvements in many. But my MOTM would be Mitchel. He has been very decisive and commanding in midfield, making our job as CBs very much easier. Both in the air and on his feet, he has been very strong and I'm sure he had frightened the smaller midfielder from Yusof Ishak (:P) Having said that, I would also like to applaud the efforts of ODS, Niklaus, Jia Le, and Sean. They have all contributed a lot to this result, and all deserve some credit for their performance. As for the rest, keep up the good performance. As Coach has said, this performance will be the abr we have set for ourselves. From now on, this will be the worst possible performance I will see, be it friendlies or tournaments.

  8. Although I have played for a very short time, I would rate my performance in this time a 7. I am basing the rating on the fact that I have found out that I am able to catch the ball with much more ease than before and am able to approach the ball with much less hesitation than during the match with the teachers, as I have been taught during trainings.

As I was spectating the match for the majority of the time, I learnt that it is important to watch the game closely on both sides as we, as spectators, can see what many players may not be able to see since we have pretty much the view of the whole field. We can also watch for mistakes from our teams so that we can let them know where they need to improve during half time.

I felt that the team did well today as I could see more aggressive play from some of the player who were less aggressive during previous matches. I can help the team to improve by improving on the height and accuracy, as well as distance covered by my goal kick as it is not very impressive or even useful now as the ball always goes very low, so that is an area I have to work on. I feel that the team has to work on their urgency as I saw many of my teammates walking where we could have been running into space to support the counter attack.

For me, the man of the match is Mitchell. He did well in heading the ball away and also played rather aggressively.

  9. 1. Rate your performance today from 1 to 10 and justify your rating
I would rate myself a 7 as a feel that I did quite well in saving quite a few shots from the opponent team today and also coming out for the ball when appropriate .

Did I apply what I have learned in training? If yes, how?
Yes. I listened to coach's instructions and tried to play the ball out to the wings when I had possession of the ball.

    2. What did you learn as a player/spectator from the match today?
I learnt that our team is actually quite strong but we still need to improve on areas such as positioning and communication.

    3. Do you think the team did well today?
I think the team did very well today as we were able to hold back the opponent attack, and then from there, we were able to play the ball down the flanks to initiate a fast break. This really helped to push the opponents back into their half and it is very evident that our defense had a better time as it did not need to work that hard.

    4. How can you help the team to improve?
I think I can help the team to improve by looking out who to pass for when I have possession of the ball. I noticed that most of the time, I would just blindly roll/pass the ball to the flanks when there were strikers like Jia Le open up field. Once I'm able to see who is the best person to pass to, the team will naturally tend to open up wider into open space so that they can receive the ball.

    5. What do you think the team can do together to improve?
I think that the team can actually work on their fitness and foresight as there were many times which we could have scored a goal, but it was either because the attacker was not focusing on the ball or got outrun by the defender.

    6. Who do you think is the man of the match today and justify your selection
I think the man of the match today is definitely Niklaus. He did very well in shielding the ball and also commanding the defense. I could observe that along side with Darius, they both kept very good communication in between in each other. For example at times, Darius would go up to challenge the attacker while Niklaus would stay behind and cover the open space.

  10. 2) As a spectator, I learnt that it is important to watch closely to the player's who are playing and learn from their rights/ wrongs during the match.
    3) I think the team did pretty well. I thought that the team would win as the some of the opponents were much smaller in size than our players, and the pitch is smaller.
    4) I think I can help by telling some of the players who played what they did well and what they did not, so that they can learn from their mistakes and improve.
    5) The team can improve on their first touch and their passing to each other. They can also improve more on their communication with each other, so that they would know where each player are, and if they are in their position.
    6) I think that the man of the match is Mitchel as he cleared the balls quite many times when it is in our 'danger zone', and he headed away alot of balls too.

  11. 1. I would give myself a mere 5. I didn't put in too much effort and I believe that I could have done better, considering that I was fasting, along with the opponent defenders, and they were playing an offside trap which has stopped our offense several times during the second half.
    2. I learnt that skills and fitness isn't everything to a game, in order to excel one must be able to play smart as well, and especially for me, I have to find areas to move to in order to create space within a few seconds when carrying out a counter attack.
    3. Yes, this is second best match I have seen our team played, and I have been watching our team since before I was even in it. I saw a lot of improvement in our defenders, as compared to last year's tournament games.
    4. I don't think I can do much to help improve the team, as I believe this would either have been or will be the last few matches that I will play for the team and school due to my overly excessive aggression and 'lack of ability' as compared to the other globally recognized and qualified players in our team, so I guess that I can't really answer this part.
    5. I believe the team needs to work on their counterattacking, as the counter attacks are always easily broken down by enemy defenders due to poor passes and positioning, as seen several times during the second half, and also the aggression of the defenders, but that too should not be too much as not only it would give our opponents chances to score from set pieces, it might also get our players in disciplinary issues.
    6. I think Mitchel should be the MOTM, as he was outstanding as a defender, as compared to the others, and he collected loose balls in a very and calmed composed manner, which is key to attacking, as it gives us better options to attack the opponent.

    i.e.
    What I do well today?
i did a part with defending. I helped in defending the centre defence.

    What could have been better?
Mr tan kept telling me i was out of position. I guess i am not very used to playing centre defending mid. Since my right leg was injured i couldn't run much. I hoped for that 15minutes that i played i did well. I need to get used to the different positions. With it i can do better.
Did I apply what I have learned in training?
I applied the defencive stance and control of the ball. Although my arial control of the ball is not very good. I hope i can improve on it in order to do better. Just outside the keepers' box. This guy was about to take a shot. I guess i did my part in defending by blocking him before he was able to take a shot.

    3. Do you think the team did well today?
I believe that in terms of attacking and defending we have improved a lot. We managed to close up on the attacker and not give him as much space as before.

    4. How can you help the team to improve?
i can help the team improve by working on my upper body and fitness.

    5. What do you think the team can do together to improve?
i believe we need to work on our communication. JQ was shouting for a thru ball but then by the time the pass came he was offside.
    6. Who do you think is the man of the match today and justify your selection
I guess mitchel is the man of the match as he controlled the centre defence well and defended many balls with headers away. so i guess he would be known as the man of the match

    7. Lucky 7 lol. All jokes aside, I feel that I have done okay. I approached the ball when someone passed to me so as to get to the ball first. I also think that my passing was not too bad. ie. one-twos with ODS. One thing that let me down was my stamina. By the 30th minute, I was already worn out and I did not fall back quickly after attacks which left ODS kind off vulnerable to one-twos.

    2. What did you learn as a player/spectator from the match today?

I have learned that fitness is a very important thing in a match especially for the midfielder and attackers. When the midfielders of the attackers lose the ball when attacking, they must fall back quickly but if you have poor fitness, you will not be able to get back quick enough and the full backs would be in a 1v2 situation making them susceptible to one-two passes.

    3. Do you think the team did well today?

I feel that the team did better today. I think the team communicated a lot but they were not very good. I can hear people asking for a through ball so as to split the defense but the passer did not pass it immediately, thus I think that we did try to communicate more but they were not very efficient.

    4. How can you help the team to improve?

I think I can help the team by falling back faster to as to prevent the opponents from going down the wing as this was a potential danger since they had a really tall striker which meant we were weaker in the air and a cross could have let them score a goal.

    5. What do you think the team can do together to improve?

I think that we can work on our fitness and communication. Some of us get tired really quickly which affects our defense because when some of the players go up for the attack and lose the ball, they do not run back as they are exhausted. Communication. One example that stood out to me was when JQ tried to call for the pass but the passer would not pass at the right thus when the pass was made, JQ would be in a offside position. If we had better communication, JQ would be through and we could have scored more goals.

    6. Who do you think is the man of the match today and justify your selection.

My MOTM is Niklaus. Although he had a sloppy start, he immediately became more alert. Whenever the opponent would get past him, he would quickly recover and continuing pursuing the attacker. He would also cover for the other defender.

  14. 1. Rate your performance today from 1 to 10 and justify your rating
i.e. What I do well today? What could have been better?

Considering I played only in the last five minutes of the game due to a minor gastric problem, I would rate myself a lowly 0.5 as I did not get to make an impact on the match. I only managed to touch the ball once as the opponent was passing all over us, in hopes of getting that one goal which will break the tie. My only contribution was to add an extra body in defense to keep the scoreline at 0-0. As I came in very late on, I did not have a chance to apply what I have learnt from training, other than trying my utmost best to pressure the opponent and win the ball back.

    2. What did you learn as a player/spectator from the match today?

I learnt that it is important to go for the ball and refrain from ball watching, as such mistakes can easily be punished by quick and skilful opponents. Also, I also learnt that going for the ball and closing the opponent down quickly will help to limit the space the opponent has, thus forcing him to make an error and hence regain possession for our team.

    3. Do you think the team did well today?

The team defended well as a collective today, with the defenders and defensive midfielders working particularly hard to close down the opponents quickly, thus giving them less space to maneuver and take a shot. In addition, the team is also more confident when it comes to passing, while the fitness level is also much improved compared to the previous friendly.

    4. How can you help the team to improve?

I can work individually on my technique, defending and other aspects of the game, so that I can improve and be a capable understudy to the starting eleven. In a match scenario, I can also be more vocal and confident on the ball, so as to make myself a passing option in tight areas—something which I have yet to demonstrate thus far.

    5. What do you think the team can do together to improve?

The team can encourage one another in a match situation to spur each other on to do better, thus giving each other a greater incentive to step up a notch and perform even better. In addition, the team can also be more disciplined when it comes to defending, instead of flying into dangerous tackles that might cost the team dearly potentially.

    6. Who do you think is the man of the match today and justify your selection.

I feel that Mitchel should be the man of the match. He was formidable and was a huge presence in defense, as he often went into challenges to get the ball and break up the opponents' attack, and it helped to spur the team to do the same too.

  15. 1) I would rate myself as 4. I found that, I did not cover well for the team and as well as that I could not make up for the offense. Especially in the first half, where my right midfielder was Matthew. In fact, i find my bond with him not as strong as Matthias. Therefore, I was not able to connect passes with him that well, and that his stamina may need a bit of improving. For the second half, it was definitely easier with Matthias as the right mid-field. A bit of error here and there, but all of the passes we made, mostly went through. Also, having experience as a right mid-fielder, I can switch roles with him for a few minutes where he drops back and I attack. This method was one of our plans we had together, this helps him recover his breath and based on his speed, he can close in fast enough, delaying the opponent if i loses the ball.
I doubt I did anything well because frankly speaking, the opponent, was not as strong to pose of a challenge. Though he is fast and agile, I won by strength. Even my passes were weak and I did not cover the attack and the defense as i spot a few times where there was a clear cut to a goal. Also, sometimes people are left unmarked and I was uncertain of my positions. Though i did block most of the oncoming attacks, its usual since the team barely attack from their left.
    2) Barely, most of our practice are about passing and moving to space, it sounds logical and such, but it takes experience to act on it. I couldn't bear to get off my position to be a passing option knowing that we might lose the ball.
    3) I think one thing we did well is that we didn't have a loose defense, and we covered enough to restrict the amount of shots by the opponents. Though this time, they are not as powerful as i thought or faced.
    4) I'm dumbfounded at this, I can't really decide on a specific method. Perhaps its the bond, I'd say that we do not have a strong bond within each other by the way we treat each other.
    5) Similar to above, I think we should stop all the nonsense around training and on field. There's only 2 hours for CCA, and we are too relaxed. I see most of the time Coach scolding us to be disciplined instead of correcting us. Also that many are talking among themselves during drills and such.
    6) I'd say the opponent's striker. Even though he is fasting (he should), he has ran for most of the ball in his area, unlike some of our attackers who judge too soon and refusing to make a comeback. He has played for the full game, also making some opportunities to strike, especially the cut in, they were sharp and accurate. Perhaps just the distance he may have to improve on. Other than that, he can outrun our defense anytime and shoot at will.

  16. 2. What did you learn as a player/spectator from the match today?

I learned that in order to play soccer better you need both physical and mental strength. The other team were faster and prepared in both ways so they were a quite good team.

    3. Do you think the team did well today?

I think that they did fairly well on the field. The defence was solid but the attacks did not get through often.

    4. How can you help the team to improve?

I can really do much individually. But I can help the team by first improving myself.

    5. What do you think the team can do together to improve?

We can cheer each other on and encourage each other to do better instead of shouting and scolding each other for mistakes.

    6. Who do you think is the man of the match today and justify your selection?

I think Mitchel is the motm, he is strong in defence and would stop any attack from the opponent.

    What I do well today?
I did well in getting shots whenever i could.I helped compact when we lose the ball as well as coach have taught us.
    What could have been better?
I could have helped opened out wide when we have the ball more often. My limited stamina prevented me from compacting and going out wide continuously.
Did I apply what I have learned in training?
If yes, how?Yes,i applied compacting the play when the opponents have the ball.
Do you think the team did well today?
I think the team did well in preventing the opponents from scoring. We closed them down, the goalkeeper did a wonderful job in blocking shots that went past defenders.
Who do you think is the man of the match today and justify your selection.Frankly speaking no one was the man of the match as we did not do much attacking as an individual or defending.Rather we did that as a trio or duo or as a team.

  18. 1. Rate your performance today from 1 to 10 and justify your rating
    I rate my performance a 6.

    2. What I do well today?
I did well defending and I pulled backed whenever necessary.

    3. What could have been better?
I think I should have taken the chance to attack whenever I could instead of just clearing the ball away. Also, I did a couple of almost fatal mistakes which had to be reflected on.

    4. Did I apply what I have learned in training?
Yes, I applied my man-marking skills and how to properly guard the attackers

    5. Do you think the team did well today?
Yes, the team did well today in preventing shots and holding up the strong defence.

    6. Who do you think is the man of the match today and justify your selection
I think the MOTM would be Mitchel. Although he had a shaky first half, he was outstanding during the later half he played in.

  19. 1) I would rate myself 6.3. I entered the match with a relatively low mentality and my confidence wavered whenever I had the ball. That shouldn't be the case. As an attacker, I need to be confident in myself, and the team. Often, I would hesitate to shoot from far when given the chance and my decision making about the kind of passes supplied to the strikers are poor. I've done well in defending and pressuring the opposing midfielders while successfully clearing long balls using headers towards the last minutes of the game.

    2) I've learnt that communication is important but it only works with trust. The team needs to be more bonded and smart-thinking with a sense of 'telepathy' between key links, like full backs and wingers, attacking mids and strikers etc. This is evident from top squads such as Barcelona.

    3) The team did well in certain areas, but horribly in others. To put it plainly, we could only play for a draw. To put it plainly, our fitness levels can't even match up to a team who are fasting (or so I thought). We were able to defend as a unit, but not attack as one. As frustrating as it may seem, a team cannot win if there's no team in the first place.

    4) I can help by injecting some DISCIPLINE into the team during trainings. And that will be evident in the next few trainings.

    5) Bonding and discipline. During the first half, when Adil was the striker, I found it difficult to work with him as his positioning was, blatantly saying, horrible. However, he made it up with his agility. Many times when I tried to play a through ball to him, he will just stay in front of the defender and expect the pass to fall to his feet. That wouldn't have been the case if he was Wen Kai. Wen Kai would have started running in between the two defenders and the through pass would have worked. But I can't blame him; we've never worked together in a game situation before and I'm not familiar with his style of play. Having said that, players not allowed to represent our school are unfortunately players who are much more outstanding. We need to have some discipline in us, like what Mr Tan said. We are 'Student Athletes', where 'Student' comes first.

    6) I would like to present the MOTM to Darius. As captain, he maintained his composure on many occasions and made crucial decisions that assisted the team to this victory. Without his leadership, the back line would've crumbled. Also, I would like to applaud Sean, Johanan and JQ for their contributions. Sean had two outstanding saves and Johanan was a diligent defensive midfielder. JQ put it his best efforts to work with Coach instructions and I'm sure he learnt a lot from this game.

  20. 1.I would give my performance a 6. I panicked every time I had the ball as I was afraid I would make a mistake. I defended really poorly when the opponent had the ball and Johanan/ Brian always had to help me out.
2.I learnt that you need to have trust and faith in your teammates so that the team can gel together. Without trust or faith, the team will just fall apart as they will play poorly.
3.I think the team did fairly well. As a pair, Niklaus and Darius was very good in the defending and Jia Le did very well in Midfield. Overall the team did good against Yusof Ishak.
4.The team requires a lot of discipline and teamwork. There were a couple of times where Jia Le had to shout at other players and that should not be the case. I know that Jia Le would not shout without a reason.
5.I think the MOTM should be Niklaus. He had a great game and his defending was good that day. He and Darius were making up for some of our defending mistakes so I think he deserves to be the MOTM.
