  1. 1). 6. I was not able to play much during the match, but when I did, I felt I did slightly better than average when commanding the defense.
    2) I learnt that communication is very important. If you know what needs to be done, you have to tell your teammate, not assume he knows what to do. If you do not communicate, you will end up with a broken formation.
    3) I think the team did very badly today. We could have done better if we had more communications.
    4) I feel that as an individual, the best thing I can do for the team is to improve my fitness.
    5) I think as a team, we need to find ways to communicate with one another with perphaps team-building activities.
    6) I think the MOTM should be Bryan. Not only was he defending, he also went up to support the attackers during our attacks and had to fall back quickly when the opponents counter-attacked.

  2. 1. 5. I managed to pull the defenders to the side and cause a large hole in the centre for the 2 chances darius and jiale had. I also went towards the ball as the ball arrived so i can meet the ball instead of waiting for it and for the defenders to steal as i know that they would be faster than me.
    2. What did you learn as a player/spectator from the match today?
I learnt that every chance is important in the game as everyone needs to be alert and take the chances if not we would not be able to win. Fitness is also a very important factor as we need to have the speed and stamina to outrun the opponents
    3. Do you think the team did well today?
I have done well in making passes to the striker which have created space and chance for the striker.
    4. How can you help the team to improve?
The team should further work on their fitness and continue doing the 2.4 every training as it helps us improve our stamina which would help us greatly in all the matches.
    5. What do you think the team can do together to improve?
The team should have more teamwork and encourage each other instead of screaming at each other. Even if the player is doing badly, we should give words of encouragements like 'YOU CAN DO IT! JUST APPROACH THE BALL" instead of "APPROACH THE F**KING BALL YOU IDIOT" Nobody wants to do badly, sometimes people tend to forget things and do badly at times.
    6. Who do you think is the man of the match today and justify your selection
I think JiaLe is the man of the match for today as he created lots of chances and took the chances for example, a mistake by the opponent team and turn it into a goal and staying alert even after a miss to get the rebound.

i.e. What I do well today? What could have been better?

I will rate myself a dismal 1. In my short cameo, I made one successful pass out of one, and made some runs to create openings; I also got into decent scoring positions, while remembering to drop back and defend properly. I, however, am still unimpressed by my tackling and hesitation at times. While I was able to put my passing to practice, my positioning and tackling still needed to be worked on, as it could cost me in future matches.

    2. What did you learn as a player/spectator from the match today?

In a team, there has to be communication to ask for support, whether it is during defending or attacking, in order to ensure that the team is compact or spread out depending on whether we get the ball or not. In addition, the importance of fitness and control (especially the first touch) is being highlighted in the match today, as it can determine the flow of the game.

    3. Do you think the team did well today?

The team worked hard collectively to win the ball back when we lose possession, and we are also trying our utmost best every time to create goalscoring chances. Also, the team is able to keep pace with the teachers, and that is instrumental to securing a 2-2 draw.

    4. How can you help the team to improve?

I can help the team to improve by working on my strengths and weaknesses, so that I can contribute more significantly on the pitch. I can also try to voice out more in a match so that communication will not be non-existent, and that will allow me to be more aware of my surroundings.

    5. What do you think the team can do together to improve?

The team can improve together by working on an area which we are not really proficient at, like fitness for instance, by running together or even doing some drills together when time permits.

    6. Who do you think is the man of the match today?

From the viewpoint of a spectator, Jia Le is the man of the match. He created a lot of goalscoring opportunities and direct running at times, and he also managed to grab an equalizer.

From the viewpoint of a player, Bernard is the man of the match. Despite playing with him for a short while, he contributed greatly on the left hand side of defense, trying his best to prevent any successful dribbles or passes down the flank.

  4. 6, while i have not fully recovered, I managed to push myself continuously, going up to try support the attack at times and covering my teammates at we defend. While I did try my best to pump long balls over the opponents' defence in hope of getting our striker to latch the ball and strike, it was unfortunate that it did not turn out the way I would like it to be. Saying that, my attempted crosses from the left flank weren't that successful as my foot had contact with the ball wrongly which caused the ball to be not float but instead flew at chest level. While my left foot is considered my weaker foot, I believed I can actually deliver much better balls than this.

I felt that the midfielders were not doing their job well in pressurising the opponent as long passses could easily be pumped. Furthermore, there would always be a big hole in between our defence line and the offense, this space was often being exploited to our disadvantage.

I felt that while the team could be seen putting in effort, it's what we failed to apply that caused us the match. It was a draw, but the number of attacking opportunities we had totally outnumbered the opponent yet we still couldn't win. Their defense was not that good, is the fact that we failed to keep a triangle, the pass and support play, where our attackers were always cornered due to lack of support, the act of people solo-ing all around happened, and obviously the ball would be lost easily. Take Spain for an example, they played football many called boring, but they kept posssesion, did we do that? no. They kept possesion, be patient, waited for a hole to appear and exploited that. We were just too anxious and maybe over-confident

I wouldn't nominate anyone from our side as Man of the match, our best players did things that spoiled the image of the team

    i.e.
    What I do well today?
    What could have been better?
Did I apply what I learnt in training?
I would rate myself at 7. I did keep a clean sheet and did use the exercises the goalkeepers have been doing for the past month as a guide. I could really have improved my dropkicks and the few goal-kicks I took.
    2. What did you learn as a player/spectator from the match today?
I learnt that I should actually go forward more often to claim the ball. I also learnt to try and take further dropkicks, which did not really go that well.
    3. Do you think the team did well today?
Yes. I think it was a brilliant performance from the team overall. However, some specific sections could have been improved by the students but the teachers covered perfectly for their mistakes.
    4. How can you help the team to improve?
The students could have actually practiced their ball control more as we were always surrendering possession a little too easily. We could have kept the ball longer. The solution can be to exercise more ball control.
    5. What do you think the team can do together to improve?
As a goalkeeper, I cannot say much but yes we could together improve our fitness levels so we can have more game time.
    6. Who do you think is the man of the match today and justify your selection
The MOTM of our team without no doubt, has to be Timothy. He controlled the defense well and moved forward as well. Despite being a CB he took the wingers very well, confining them and giving them enough space only to make an error.

  6. 1. Rate your performance today from 1 to 10 and justify your rating

I would rate myself a 6. I believe that I had pulled off a good save today as I hardly have the courage to approach the ball, but for today's match I did. However, I still need to work on it as I had hesitated for a moment before I went forward to catch the ball. Also, I need to learn how to make out better passes when taking goal kicks/drop kicks/throws as I always played the ball to the center and that would risk the opposing team playing the ball back into my own half. I have applied what I have learnt in training in the aspects of handling the ball as my grip on the ball has improved and I no longer blunder while catching the ball (blunder as in drop the ball accidentally, lose grip, fail to catch).

    2. What did you learn as a player/spectator from the match today?

I learnt that I have to clear the ball further as playing the ball towards the center, albeit very low, gives the opponent a higher chance of retaking possession and gaining a goal scoring opportunity.

    3. Do you think the team did well today?

I felt that the team has put in a lot of effort in getting goal scoring opportunities and also tried equally hard to defend the ball. So yes, to me, the team has done well.

    4. How can you help the team to improve?

I could work on my goalkeeping skills so as to decrease the chances of myself conceding goals in matches, also adding to the point that I can help to play the ball into a good position if i am able to clear the ball far.

    5. What do you think the team can do together to improve?

The team must improve on their fitness so that in case we cannot beat our opponents in terms of skill, we can beat them in fitness and outrun them. Nonetheless, it is going to take alot of hard work and effort.

    6. Who do you think is the man of the match today and justify your selection

I think that Jia Le is the man of the match as he created a lot of chances for our team. He also stayed alert even though the ball was saved by the opponent's keeper to go in for the rebound, gaining an equalizer.
