    2. What have you learnt?

I have learnt that the fighting spirit is very important in every match whatever the score is and whatever your teammates are saying.

    3. Comment on the team's performance

The team performed very well as they still fought hard even when they were down a few goals and they did not give up but still fight till the end.

    4. How can you as an individual help the team?

I can help by cheering for them as this would provide a positive mindset for the team so that they would be motivated to continue working hard.

    5. How do you think the team can improve together?

The team can still improve on delaying the person and containing the attack as they need to slow them down so that the defenders can run back to defend.

    6. Who do you think were outstanding in their performance today? What made them stand out?

MotM is ODS as he ran up and down trying very hard to keep the ball up while sprinting back to defense to cover for his teammate that is beaten. He also tried to clear and get control of every high ball that was towards him.

  2. 1. Comment on your individual performance
I believe that I did well doing the first half as I put effort to keep up the defence. However, in the second half I became slower in closing down the opponents and also made some defending mistakes.

    2. What have you learnt?
I have learnt that team encouragement is important and it was evident during this match as most of our team mates were encouraging each other, keeping our spirits high.

    3. Comment on the team's performance
The team did well to keep up the defense and did not allow the opponents to take open shots and we persevered till the end of the game.

    4. How can you as an individual help the team?
I can work on my speed and stamina. Speed would help be to close down the opponents faster and thus not allowing them space to pass or shoot. Stamina would allow me to last the entire game without feeling tired as midfielders should have a good stamina.

    5. How do you think the team can improve together?
I think the team can improve by learning how to counter the opponents. In this match, the opponents kept on attack and most of the time we lost the balls to a throw in or a corner and we did not know how to counter the opponents.

    6. Who do you think were outstanding in their performance today? What made them stand out?
In this match, Jia Le and Niklaus performed well. Jia Le was working hard for the ball throughout the match and kept the team spirit up through encouragement. Niklaus commanded the defence well in this match.

  3. I believed that today had actually been a flop, I was misjudging simple high balls and a small simple mistake of kicking the ground instead of the ball during the goal kick caused me to give the ball away to the opponent easily and that was how our 2nd goal was conceded.

This match due to our opponents being faster and quicker, we had to learn how to track back, defend, cover and support better. Many times we had big hole because we were not covering fast enough and this is something that we need to work on.

This match was a much better performance compared to the 1st match, However, there is still plenty for us to improve on, we need to learn how to improve on our counter attacks and make full use of all our chances

    1. I believe that I really need to improve on how i judge the ball on a real pitch and not an artificial turf, because balls scatter when the bounce on the real grass, I need to be able to prepare myself for the different situations.

However, I would like to commend the team for encouraging each other, and we in one of our rarest times, no one shouted at each other in a negative one.

This is how we become more positive, and hopefully, we will get positive results too!

  4. Comment on your individual performance
I think my performance was much better as compared to yesterday. In terms of defending the strikers, I think as a center back. I ensured that the strikers had little chance of having a one on one with sean. I also think that I put in much more effort in commanding the defenses as well as the other team. I felt I was focused and motivating to the other team members.
    What have you learnt?
Today, I learnt about the power of being focused. I felt the team was very focused during the match. Everyone was really giving it their all and despite us going against the seeder team, we gave our best in that game and the team spirit was much better.
    Comment on the team's performance
The team performance was very good. I felt happy after the match as I know that all the players really gave their best. We worked together in many scenarios and even with our lack of stamina, we pushed through.
How can you as an individual help the team?
I think I can continue to be motivating to the team. To help command and direct the players as I have a better view of the whole match. I can also be more agressive in defending to ensure a stronger defences to help the team have more oppotunities to attack.
How do you think the team can improve together?
The team can improve by keeping up with the team spirit as well as continue to be focused. I think an important point to note is to translate the effort that we put in into real actions that make an impact to the performance of the team. We have to be more aware of the surroundings, the type of tactics that the other team is employing and especially the players that we are close to.
Who do you think were outstanding in their performance today? What made them stand out?
I think that in the match, the outstanding player was Jia Le and Wen Kai. Jia Le ran up and down even from left to right of the field to provide more options for the side to open up. He really helped the team in supporting. Wen Kai, despite his short stint and injured groin. He pushed hard to keep the ball in our possession.

  5. I would say that I performed better than the Nan Hua match, but I'm still not on full form like the previous friendlies. I've learnt how to build an attack quickly with the midfielders and wingers, and this is a very important aspect on counter-attacking as accurate passing is really vital in a successful attack. I would say the team did really well, especially in gaining possession, as compared to the other games that we have played so far which was really terrible. However, I have noticed in several games that our counter-attacks aren't that fast and me and Jia Le can't be the only two people trying to break enemy defenses. Our line of defense should also move up along with the ball. For example, when the ball is at our attacking third, the defenders should push up the line so the opponent attackers would be further away from the goal when they get the ball as they would have to follow the offside line. I think I can help the team by going all out to the opponent and doing my best to fight for the ball and ensuring every shot counts. I think what our team lacks
overall is the determination to fight for the ball. Our players always lose out on 50-50 chances as they're not confident enough. If we seem confident, the opponents will also be mentally affected just like how we are of them. In my opinion Jia Le deserves to be the man of the match, as he puts in a lot of effort in his passes, shots, and everything he did during the game. He was still able to persevere despite his injury until the final whistle, and I think that action must be commended.

  6. 1) I would rate myself 6.3. This was one of my average performances with a few through passes to Adil. I felt that I could have done much better with that one on one situation with the keeper and avoiding that tackle which left me injured. One point I thought that I did well was heading to teammates (mostly wingers) and controlling the ball from goalkicks. My defending was not bad yet not good enough to contain the midfielders from building up play and I have to work on winning high ball situations from set piece.

    2) I've learnt that working as a team has many different benefits. It starts with defending; man marking, covering, communicating etc. I feel that we generally have good practice with this part. However, whenever we have possession of the ball, the support from the wings and midfielders are lacking. The only option I had when my head was up was Adil, and I thought that he could have done better controlling the passes and wait for support to arrive.

3/4/5) I felt that the team did much better during this match. Not only in supporting each other, but also playing football. Previously, all we could do was chase the ball like mad dogs and clear it. We were able to at least shield the ball and play a pass or two during this match. I'm not saying that this was our best performance, but everyone deserves credit for putting in much more effort into wanting the ball and having the hunger to win. This goes back to the training ground; our attitude. We need to treasure the minimal time we have on the pitch and listen to Coach's instructions for he wants us to be better players. Remember, limits are set by our minds and we should be training our fundamentals on our own, such as high ball control/clearances.

    6) I don't think I can pick a single outstanding player but ODS, Darius and Wen Kai deserve praise for their efforts on the pitch. ODS and Darius were solid at the right side of defence, clearing most of the high balls pumped there. However, one goal was conceded again due to their lack of communication and I feel that we should not be giving away goals like that. Wen Kai, despite his short cameo, scored a brilliant freekick and added a bit of firepower towards the end of the second half.

  7. Personally, I was very proud to see the team's performance in this game. We played with more confidence and focus then before, and we have improved a lot since then. I can understand Coach's intentions of us clearing the ball more instead of trying to play it out, but I do hope we can try to pass more in our other games. Defensively I think we were much more sound then before, we were able to stop most balls coming through and restricted them to shots from far. Having said that though, giving them such shots from outside the box, sooner or later we will concede one, so we have to close them down as well.

Again I think they identified our left side as our weaker side, as most of their attacks came down the left, but I think Bryan did well to stop most of the crosses. On the other hand, even thought Tanglin attacked lesser down the right, they did cross more from the right, which goes to show that ODS and I have a lot more to work one. (I'm comparing in something like an attack is to successful cross ratio).

I think out problem again is the hole between the defense and midfield. Because of this hole, Tanglin had a lot of space and time to attack us and take shots from outside, and because the midfield can't recover as fast, the pressure on the back four is really tremendous. But I do think we coped well with that, though it could be better. Remember, prevention is better than cure.

Personally, I think I played very well that day. I was more aggressive and was beaten less, though I have to improve on reading the game and anticipating the runs/passes. Many times I anticipate wrongly and end up tracking the wrong player, and sometimes it almost cost the team. As a captain, I think I did well keeping the mentality of the team.

  8. I forgot MOTM ._. Personally I think everyone did well, though some could do better in my opinion. If I had to pick, I would say Jia Le is MOTM. I think it's difficult for a player like him, skillful and full of confidence, to have to clear the ball when ever he gets it. But for the team, he follows Coach's instructions strictly, and was restricted to minimal dribbles, if any at all. And even though he took that boot to the groin, he got back up strong and finished the entire game without complaints. Also, Wen Kai deserves some compliments for bearing with his groin injury as well as the free kick he scored :)

  9. 1. Comment on your individual performance
I think i did not do what coach wanted me to do. He wanted me to play defendsivly and clear the every ball, unless we were attacking.
    2. What have you learnt?
I learnt that if i properly mark the opponent winger, i can limit his play and his scoring chances.
    3. Comment on the team's performance
The team did relatively well but we were falling off after they scored.I think it caused our moral to drop and our low fitness to become more evident.
    4. How can you as an individual help the team?
I can help by always tracking back to defend and not walk.I need to run back even if i am at the other end of the field. I also need to cover ODS more often and help in heading clearences.
    5. How do you think the team can improve together?
By helping each other. Encourage;Cover;Support. All are needed for a good team to defend and attack well.
    6. Who do you think were outstanding in their performance today? What made them stand out?
Wenkai. Obviously his goal made him stood out. But he needs to learn to have the balance of dribbling and passing. By doing so he can create more chances for himself and our attackers.Remember, the ball travels faster than a person.

  10. I felt I did well in this match in the defensive aspect but offensive was still lacking. In terms of defense, I felt that I did well as I covered well and tried to help Bryan. I also was more aggressive and tried to win the ball more. I tracked back more frequently too. I also was not as tired as I felt that this was due to Johanan tracking back more. I feel that playing Johanan and Mitchel or Johanan and Tobias instead of Mitchel and Tobias is better as Johanan is more defensive minded while both Mitchel and Tobias tend to go up more. Thus, having Johanan complements with either Mitchel or Tobias. In terms of attacking, I felt that I did not add much firepower and that I lost the ball quite a lot. Overall, I think I did quite well in this match.

I felt that the team did rather well today especially the defence. The defence coped well with the attacking threat of the opposition. They closed down well to block their shots and covered each other well. However, one thing the defence failed to cope with were aerial balls. Most of their chances came from an aerial ball over the defence. Therefore, I think we should improve on clearing aerial balls more. Nevertheless, they did well.

  11. 1. Comment on your individual performance
I felt that i did quite well in terms of closing down the opponent and clearing the balls but when tobias came in we did not communicate as much as before and left many open spaces for the opponent to come in and take a shot at goal. Sometimes, i also did not close down the opponent fast enough and they had many chances to take a shot at goal.
    2. What have you learnt?
I have learnt that the moment you give the opponent a little opportunity to take a shot at goal, they are able to create many attacking chances and before you know it, they would be able to score a goal

    3. Comment on the team's performance
I believe that the team has done well in terms of defence and manage to contain most of their attackers but in the end, just giving them a little attacking chance, they manage to chage that into a goal

    4. How can you as an individual help the team?
As an individual, I can close down the opponent faster and prevent them from creating chances to attack the goal the goal and with a tighter defence, we are able to create more scoring opporunities.

    5. How do you think the team can improve together?
As a team, we need to improve on our communication to tell who to cover who in order to prevent the opponent fromattacking the balls at the open areas.
    6. Who do you think were outstanding in their performance today? What made them stand out?
I believe that darius did a good job at attacking the aerial balls and clearing it and he did a great effort at cheering up other people when their emotions were down.

  12. 1. Comment on your individual performance

For me, i dont see much difference between the previous match and now. This is mostly because my attitude sustained these two matches and I wasn't bothered by the score. Partly because of that left mid who i was having small talk with. :D

    2. What have you learnt?

I have learnt that passing is important. Tanglin had numerous passes that tricked the defense a lot. Also, it is important to have strong fast passes towards the target. Tanglin made this mistake and I took the chance to clear it. Defensively, I have few errors that let them pass by me. However, I feel myself applying the defensive method taught by coach :D

    3. Comment on the team's performance

The morale was there :) It seems that we had more communication going on and lesser arguments were made. Other than Coach stomping on the ground due to our mistakes XD

    4. How can you as an individual help the team?

I think I can see to it that I have a clear idea of the strategies for different type of plays and read up on them so that I have a better understanding of it.

    5. How do you think the team can improve together?

Not to the team, I think the coach can expose us to more set pieces. After all, I am seriously lost of what to do about man marking now that I have been learning zone defense for the past 3 years. Also, I'd live him to show us more set pieces as I find that it really helped our team offensively. However, he has not been doing so :<

    6. Who do you think were outstanding in their performance today? What made them stand out?

I think the MOTM had to be Sean :D He tried many times to block away the ball and even remained calm as the ball slowly, but forcefully was introduced to wilbur's cheek and changed its trajectory and was received with wide opened arms of Sean :D.

  13. 1. Comment on your individual performance
I think I did pretty well on the left today as I tracked back more often to defend, which is a good sign for me. My dribbling was quite off heavy today. There were a lot of times where I could have easily trick past the defenders but my accuracy during my cuts and crossover was out of sync.

    2. What have you learnt?
Stamina is vital, and aerial defence is a big achilles heel.

    3. Comment on the team's performance
I feel that our defence was really weak in the air. Niklaus also misjudge the bounce of the ball too many times. There were also many times when we could have headed the ball clear but we decide to wait for the ball to dip and use our legs instead, but eventually failed to clear because we were made to panic but the onrushing defenders. We did better going forward, but I disagree with a lot of Adil's positioning. There were many through ball opportunities when Jia Le was dribbling down, but his quite frankly, messy positioning made it impossible to thread anything through. The defensive midfielders did well, even tho they didn't close down fast enough which led to a goal. Matthew needs to have more confidence and not be afraid to challenge for 50-50 balls and take on defenders.

    4. How can you as an individual help the team?
I should pass more. In fact, I should know when to pass and when to dribble past defenders because there were a couple of times when I should have dribbled instead of passing as there were openings, and likewise I should have passed instead of dribbling.

    5. How do you think the team can improve together?
We really should be communicating more. This is one of the matches where we didn't shout much.

    6. Who do you think were outstanding in their performance today? What made them stand out?
I think Jia Le was the MOTM as he never stopped running and shooting. Darius was also calmer today. Sean was also strong, mentally and physically.

  14. Sorry for the late post

    1. Comment on your individual performance

I personally would say I did quite well throughout the whole match except for the later parts of the game. I managed to stay communicated with my defense and I tried to be more prominent in the box during set pieces and corner kicks. On a side note, I should have chose to be subbed out instead of staying on the field as I realised I was unable to save some goals due to my injury.

    2. What have you learnt?

I learnt that in order to effectively defend our goal from high balls, communication was key. Many times, I see multiple defenders going for the same high ball, only to be beaten by a Tanglin striker as they both failed to clear the ball away. Furthermore, I learnt that we have to be swifter to close down opponents as the Tanglin players did indeed have a lot of space to play around with the ball and take chances on goal.

    3. Comment on the team's performance

The team did pretty well today in terms of both attacking in defending. We were actually able to push into the opponent's half and pressure them to quite a large extent. We were able to attack their goal and even scored against them. Defensively, I see many midfielders trekking back to help out the defense when there was a change in possession or when there was a corner kick.

    4. How can you as an individual help the team?

I think that I need to improve the accuracy and strength of my drop kicks and goal kicks as I find that I am unable to accurately play the ball down the flanks, be it far or near. Many times, I end up playing the ball right back to the opponents, causing trouble for my defense and myself.

    5. How do you think the team can improve together?

I think that even though we were able to play decently today, communication could have been improved. For example, the left flank was really decimated by the constant attacks from there as there was quite an amount of miscommunication between Bryan and the other defenders helping him cover the left flank.

    6. Who do you think were outstanding in their performance today? What made them stand out?

I believe that Jia Le is deserving of MoTM. He was a strong powerhouse in our attack, constantly finding chances to create attacks and such. He had multiple chances on goal and he took them without hesitation. Furthermore, he was also one player who was actively running up and down the field to aid in the defense whenever needed. Overall, the team played well today and I think that I can say that we are all proud of ourselves.

  15. 1. Comment on your individual performance
I felt that I played relatively well taking my injury in mind. It was hard to keep running as I had to keep putting stress off my injured foot.
    2. What have you learnt?
I have learnt that our mindset is very important. We played against a strong team but managed to play much better than our match against Nan Hua.
    3. Comment on the team's performance
The team has played much better compared to the first game but more can still be done to improve. There was more tracking back and covering for each other. However, we have to improve on defending when the opponents are taking a throw-in. The winger's position on marking the players have to correct(behind the player) and they have to be on their toes to run after the ball if it is thrown behind them. The center backs can help to cover too. Aerial ball is still a difficulty for most of us. If it is a challenge, try to use your head as you will be able to touch the ball earlier compared to the rest of your body. Timing of jumps and headers also have to be improved.
    4. How can you as an individual help the team?
I can help the team by calling out more. I can also help in teaching the rest of the team (if you guys want) in challenging, especially headers. Do come to me if you need help.
    5. How do you think the team can improve together?
I think we just need to keep our morale high and really have the fighting spirit for each other. Mental strength is very important and this is how we will be able to get our first win.
    6. Who do you think were outstanding in their performance today? What made them stand out? I think Sean is one person that deserves our recognisment. As we all know, Sean is not exactly the fittest among all of us. However, he played hard and made many good blocks and calls, especially the one when he came out and did that twist move, taking the ball away from their striker and preventing another goal. Although towards the end of the match he was tired, he continued to press on. The score difference is really Sean's effort and this is something that should be praised. KX, you have to work much harder to reach Sean's standard! I am not saying that you are a bad player, just that I hope you will use this as a goal and this will motivate you to improve even more.

  16. 1. Comment on your individual performance
Did not get to play in the match :( But I was entirely in spirits with the team :D

    2. What have you learnt?
Commitment and aggression is a key factor for defending. Our team has done well to pressurize the opponent and keep most of their shots at bay.

    3. Comment on the team's performance
The team is much better defensively as most of the shots were prevented and attackers are well pressured by at times the opponent still manages to slip through the holes in our defence which on many occasions left us vulnerable.

    4. How can you as an individual help the team?
I can be more active in giving feedback to players and encourage them to do better.

    5. How do you think the team can improve together?
Communication is important as people tend to make mistakes and it is the duty of the others around to correct him.

    6. Who do you think were outstanding in their performance today? What made them stand out?
Sean was really remarkable as he managed to last this way through the entire game despite feeling fatigue. He was also very agile and block many shots while displaying maximum confidence. Keep up the good work Sean! :D

I did not play well as I did not warm up properly :/ I did not close down my man fast enough and it resulted in another goal.
    2. What have you learnt?
I learnt to run faster :O I can actually run and catch up to my opponents if i give off my best. I also learnt that I should close down my man ._. If I ball watch, It would be as if my team lost a man
    3. Comment on the team's performance
Team played well in general. Defense was good against a national top 4 seeded team compared to nan hua high T^T
    4. How can you as an individual help the team?
I can close down my man. I'll start with that ._.
    5. How do you think the team can improve together?
The team can play as a team, hence the word TEAM O_O
    6. Who do you think were outstanding in their performance today? What made them stand out?
Darius? He played the role as a sweeper rather well and without him, we would have lost even worse :'(

Sorry Darius ._. My comment didn't post ._.

    -NIL-

    2. What have you learnt?
I have learnt again that endurance and speed are much needed to play soccer effectively. Our control too must also be improved, as many a times we lost control of high balls that should have been ours, thus we gave opportunities for the opponents to score. We also need to better tighten the defense at whenever we are being attacked as we cannot allow for space for the opponents to shoot the ball.

    3. Comment on the team's performance
Despite the difference in skill, I feel that the team did great this match as we did give our all in this game and our players did not give up to the very end of the game. The defense was great this game as we always closed up the opponents whenever they had a chance to attack really fast for most the time. Our attack was really good too as they managed to capitalize on more chances to attack than the previous matches that we have played.

    4. How can you as an individual help the team?
Firstly I can improve my speed and stamina, as these are some basic factors that all soccer players require. I must also remember to communicate all the time as during the game, communication was good at the start, however died down fast. I must also learn to work with the other defenders well, as I still feel that I myself cannot work well with with them as I am unsure of what we are going to do.

    5. How do you think the team can improve together?
First of all, we should help to strength our attacking force, as we cannot always depends on people like Wen Kai, Jia le, Adil etc... We should be able to make use of the entire team to attack. Next is improve on communication, as communication in our team tends to die off after the first 5 -10 mins in a half.

    6. Who do you think were outstanding in their performance today? What made them stand out?
The MOTM should be Jia le. He managed to help support the offense when he had the chance, and also helped the defense whenever necessary. He also manages to do exactly what coach is planning, thus making full use of himself as a player.
